Had our second workout with our personal trainer Riley; He worked us pretty hard, but it will pay off! I'm learning that I should have been doing this long ago, I'm learning how to use the equipment, and I'm learning that I can do this.
I'm the guy that wakes up in the middle of the night, feeling something strange in my chest, gets up, trys to remember if I should take some aspirin, cough or sneeze, or call 911. Couldn't decide so I got on line and googled "symptoms of a heart attack". Shortness of breath, yep got it, Chest pain, yep that too, dizziness yep, like I've never had it before. Holy smoke, dialed THE number, six hours later, I have new body parts ... stents, 99% blockage in my coronary, 88% in the desending Anterior. Not a heart attack, but a cardiac event all the same. Folks, life changing to say the least. When something as life changing as that happens to you, you only want to get healthy, and be around for my wife, my kids and grandkids!
You can do it and we are all cheering you on!
ReplyDeleteWe are all learning a lot and one thing for sure is that hindsight is much better than foresight. I wish I'd worked this hard for 50 years!
